Google has added support for the OpenSearch protocol to its Google Search Appliances opening up federated search to Windows 7 and Internet Explorer
Google have made Google Wave available for Google Apps premier and apps for domains customers. You can even use your domain for Wave using a DNS CNAME.
There are clearly some very clever ideas in Google Wave but will it ever replace email? Emails strength is that everyone on the internet has an email address, will Wave ever be that ubiquitous?
Following on from this weeks release of an XMPP connector for Office Communications Server 2007 R2 (how do Microsoft come up with those catchy names eh?), the OCS team have posted some detailed information on the configuration needed to enable communications between OCS, Jabber and Gmail users.
