{"id":594,"date":"2009-12-01T17:57:49","date_gmt":"2009-12-01T17:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/?p=594"},"modified":"2009-12-01T12:10:44","modified_gmt":"2009-12-01T12:10:44","slug":"lotus-f1-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/2009\/12\/01\/lotus-f1-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Lotus F1 Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whilst doing some reading last night I thought I\u2019d see if there were any updates on the new Lotus F1 team being put together by Mike Gascoigne.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To be honest there\u2019s not a whole lot of information out there\u2026 the teams <a title=\"Lotus F1 Team\" href=\"http:\/\/lotusf1racing.my\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a> is still very much under construction, but it does seem like cars are coming along nicely.\u00a0 There\u2019s a nice pic or two of them undergoing wind tunnel testing, but not much else.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Lotus_F1_Racing_wind_tunnel_model_C1024x768.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"Lotus_F1_Racing_wind_tunnel_model_C (1024x768)\" src=\"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/Lotus_F1_Racing_wind_tunnel_model_C1024x768_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Lotus_F1_Racing_wind_tunnel_model_C (1024x768)\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In terms of driver line-up there have been plenty of rumours, but as far as I know no real announcements.\u00a0 <a title=\"Jarno Trulli\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jarno_Trulli\" target=\"_blank\">Jarno Trulli<\/a> is a name that keeps coming up, now of course being free of his Toyota commitments following their exit from F1.\u00a0 Jarno has worked with Mike Gascoigne before at Jordan, Renault and Toyota so may well be a good bet.\u00a0\u00a0 Interestingly Toyota\u2019s stand-by driver from the last couple of races <a title=\"Kamui Kobayashi\" href=\"http:\/\/kamui-kobayashi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kamui Kobayashi<\/a> has said he\u2019d be interesting in a Lotus drive.\u00a0 Given his speed and how entertaining he was I hope he gets a drive somewhere in 2010.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/jakehumphreyf1\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/jakehumphreyf1\" target=\"_blank\">Jake Humphrey<\/a> from the BBC F1 team spent some time at the new factory last week and posted up this pic of the garage\u2026 looks like Classic Team Lotus have been lending a hand :)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/img390.yfrog.com\/i\/8tu.jpg\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"8tu\" src=\"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/8tu.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"8tu\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whats the progress of Mike Gascoignes new Lotus F1 Team (Lotus Cosworth)?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8,5],"tags":[525,68,355,356,50,353,352,354],"class_list":["post-594","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-cars","category-home","tag-cars","tag-f1","tag-jarno-trulli","tag-kamui-kobayashi","tag-lotus","tag-lotus-cosworth","tag-lotus-f1-team","tag-mike-gascoigne","entry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/594","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=594"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/594\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":595,"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/594\/revisions\/595"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=594"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=594"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/refraction.co.uk\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=594"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
