Thats sounds a lot like Live Mesh :)

DFS is definitely useful, we use it here, but File Virualisation does add a massive amount to what can be done. Being able to complete abstract everything below the namespace makes managing data a storage so much easier.

Most of this can be done with DFS within the enterprise (if you have MS servers). However, I would love to have somewhere I could store all my music that would sync all the devices I use, ie various pc's and mobiles etc.

[...] IPTV February 21st, 2008 Ive just been catching up on a few days worth of Tweets and Blog posts. One of the articles Ive been reading was a piece on c|net about the MS Mediaroom IPTV solution. It sounds like there are 1 million or so people on the system now which is great.
[...] DeskMundo wrote an interesting post today onHere’s a quick excerpt I’ve just been reading over on Johann Kruse’s blog that Messenger for Mac 7 has been released. I guess for most people the big news for most people will be the usual Live Messenger support, but if you’re an Enterprise IT guy like me its the Office Communication Server (OCS)support that’s interesting. One of the challenges I’ve got at work at the moment is how best to integrate Macs into our (mostly) Windows environment. Before we tackle the big problems we’re focusing on providing access to [...]
